Helen is a partner at Moore Barlow LLP and is a solicitor specialising in maximum severity personal injury claims and clinical negligence cases. She spends a lot of her time representing the victims of brain injury. Helen is a skilled litigator with over thirty years of experience and has conducted countless cases leading to multi-million pound settlements. She has also been a Court of Protection Deputy and trustee for two decades, giving her a real insight into what happens to brain injury survivors and their families long after a claim is settled. That experience is fed back into current claim practice.
Helen is a Fellow of APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers), is an APIL accredited specialist in brain injuries and is a former Chair of the APIL Brain Injury Special Interest Group. She is ranked as an Eminent Practitioner in Chambers for both Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence and has been described in Legal 500 as “a star individual who has huge experience in this field and great client care skills”.
Helen was a member of the board of trustees of Headway Surrey for 19 years and was the founder Chair of the Surrey Acquired Brain Injury Network. She headed up the personal injury and clinical negligence department at Barlow Robbins LLP, leading significant and sustained growth in the sector until November 2016 when she was elected Chairman of that firm. She helped negotiate a merger and became the first Chair of Moore Barlow LLP on 1 May 2020.
